Roopa Satish

Roopa is a seasoned financial leader with over 30 years of experience across French, Dutch, and Indian banks, specializing in Corporate Banking, and ESG. As Country Head and Executive Management Team Member at IndusInd Bank for 16 years, she scaled the business exponentially, led capital reallocation and transformation strategies, and built the Mid Office Brain (MOB) to drive execution and analytics. A pioneer in sustainable finance, Roopa established the Bank’s ESG & Sustainable Banking Unit, positioning IndusInd as a market leader and securing Euromoney’s “Best Bank for ESG in India” award for three consecutive years. Currently, she advises global and Indian institutions on ESG and financial strategy, serving as Advisor to Climate Bonds Initiative (UK) and Axa Climate (France), and holding board/committee roles with Avanti Finance, Northern Arc, IIFCL, and IIM Lucknow.

She is an MBA from IIM Lucknow (1992) and holds a CFA Certificate in ESG Investing (2022).
